They bill themselves as a family restaurant with a Greek flair, but the menu at Nick’s Patio is book-length and offers something for most any taste. The décor is nothing to write home about but the portions don’t leave room for dessert – you might try sharing a meal so you can split a piece of pie afterwards. The 24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation coupled with it’s near Notre Dame location make it the perfect stop for college students during a late night study session.

I went there for a weekday lunch and the service was quick and upbeat. We were on our way less than 45 minutes after parking in the lot. We shared the restaurant with families and diners that likely survived the Depression era, but I’ve heard the night-time crowd is an entirely different scene.

Whatever time you visit, you can expect a delicious meal at a reasonable price – roughly $5 to $9.

  1. I totally forgot about Nick’s, during high school we use to eat there constantly. Really good Greek food. Great review Tracy!
