One of the Statues at the South Bend Airport“Quantaloop” is the name of one of the statues currently on display at the South Bend Regional Transportation Center. In addition to its 8,400 foot runway, taxiways, and train with daily service to Chicago, the airport is home to several statues created by artists based in the Midwest. They include a large sun, a “tin man,” and several which require your interpretation. They were selected and installed by the South Bend Regional Museum of Art, which has a dated page about the project here.
