World's Largest Tree SignBendix Woods” is a Saint Joseph County Park located near South Bend. It was the home of the Studebaker Automotive Company’s test track, the world’s first controlled automotive testing grounds. In 1937 the company planted about 5,000 pine trees to spell “Studebaker” when viewed from the air. Today the park is available for hiking and picnics.
