When complete, it will house IUSB&#8217;s new <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/ee.iusb.edu\/index.php?\/adp\/blog\/south_bends_natatorium_and_the_struggle_for_human_rights\/\">civil rights museum<\/a>. &#8220;The Nat&#8221; was built in 1921 and excluded African Americans except for one day per week or month until 1950. It has been empty since it closed in 1978.
