It includes photos of finished buildings along Eddy Street. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Check back soon for an update on the major <a title=\"Notre Dame Condos\" href=\"http:\/\/www.michianarealestateguide.com\/condos\/\" target=\"_blank\">Notre Dame condos<\/a>. In the meantime here is a bit about the Eddy Street Commons.<\/p>\n<p>David Compton, vice president of development for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kiterealty.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kite<\/a>, presented information on the Eddy Street Commons today to area Realtors. Here is what I took away from it.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The first units are projected to be available Fall of 2009 and the project complete in 2011.<\/li>\n<li>There will be several residential housing types in the project, along with hotels, office\/retail space, and a large parking garage.<\/li>\n<li>Apartments, like retail space, will rent at prices at or above the top of the current market. They anticipate a rate upwards of $1.30\/square foot.<\/li>\n<li>The most affordable condos for purchase will wrap around the parking garage. They are currently projected to start around $170,000.<\/li>\n<li>The &#8220;courtyard townhomes&#8221; south of Napolean Street will be the most expensive housing in the project.<\/li>\n<li>The condo-hotel units above the Mariott will be the highest units. They won&#8217;t have a view into the stadium.<\/li>\n<li>The project is currently waiting for approval of its <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tax_increment_financing\" target=\"_blank\">TIF<\/a> application to fund construction. That may take until February 2008.<\/li>\n<li>There are plans to redevelop &#8220;the triangle&#8221; area <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/?ie=UTF8&amp;ll=41.690764,-86.231861&amp;spn=0.014966,0.029182&amp;z=15&amp;om=1\" target=\"_blank\">east of Eddy and north of SR 23<\/a> that include affordable housing through the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sbheritage.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">South Bend Heritage Foundation<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Highline Construction will build the residential units in the project.
