South Bend Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day

South Bend has Notre Dame, home of the “Fighting Irish” and celebrates appropriately. Despite the high of 36, families turned out for the parade and to see the St Joe River dyed green. There is 21+ fun tonight that includes rivers of green beer and a trolley that runs among Irish Bars.

Dancing in the Greenhouse

Spring Fling at the Conservatories, a fundraiser for budget troubled Potawatomi Greenhouses is set for April 29th from 9 am to 3:30 pm and will feature live music by local performers. It’s part of the South Bend City Celebration 2007. The greenhouses are on Mishawaka Avenue near Ironwood. Admission is $3.
