Pasquale Rulli's, Mishawaka, IndianaWhile the chain restaurants popping up almost daily along Main and Grape are great additions to the area, can you go wrong with one of our many mom and pop establishments? A recent visit to Mishawaka’s Pasquale Rulli’s says no. The atmosphere is Little Italy all the way with walls covered in family photos and vine covered trellises decorated with white lights and Chianti bottles. The soft Italian music playing is a nice touch yet quiet enough to allow for easy table conversation. Fellow patrons include couples in intimate booths and larger tables with extended families all feasting on the large portions Pasquale Rullis serves. The menu boasts longevity (established in 1976) and freshly prepared sauces, pizzas, pastas and entrees. But it’s also easy to boast of their menu prices which range from $7.95 to $10.45 and include a variety of children’s menu items for just $3.95. Worth a visit?…Definitely.

  1. How nice to be reminded of such a lovely Italian restaurant right in our own backyard. We will put that on our list of places to go. Thank you Tracy.

  2. I used to go there often years ago. Thanks for reminding about such a great little Italian Restaurant. I remeber there pizza to be excellent and I also liked their baked cheese smothered Ziti

  3. This is a great restaurant with awesome food and people. They also have private dining for rehearsal dinners, meetings, etc. We’re checking into that for our rehearsal dinner. Supposedly they do a buffet for about $8 a head. That’s an awesome deal.

  4. i went to Rome and Florence and did not find better food! eat here soon! great Family resturant, own by a great family

  5. I think generally this is a nice restaurant – I hear lots of good comment. And my husband chose to go there for his birthday last night 1/5/08 as he remembered going there for a rehearsal dinner YEARS ago. However, while his lasagna was very good, my garlic shrimp alfredo was VERY hot and spicy. I couldn’t even eat it – it had pizza pepper all over it. I didn’t realize it was going to be spicy it didn’t say and the waitress didn’t tell me. My husband who likes spicy things tried it and said that it was even making his gut hurt. I tried to eat some in silence as we don’t have money to go out and I didn’t want to waste any and ruin his birthday. But my husband finally asked – is that pizza pepper in there – isn’t that HOT?! I couldn’t believe that he could see it from across the table. When the waitress asked if I wanted a box, I told her no that it was too spicy that I couldn’t eat it. She did say Oh I am sorry, but she looked a little surprised. I didn’t really know what to do with that and now I wish I would have pried further as perhaps it wasn’t supposed to be in there. The worst thing was that not only did it keep me up most of the night, but my nursing baby cried all night too. He didn’t even want to nurse – I didn’t know what to do. I am really starting to wonder if it was supposed to be in the food like that or if someone made a mistake. You wouldn’t think that you would have that hot, spicy pizza pepper on garlic shrimp alfredo. In fact I ordered it because I thought it would be mild. However, I would definitely ask before you order that!

    1. If the food at a restaurant is not to your liking, you send it back and order something else. Was this your first time in your life you dined out?
