The eighth and final unit at Wexford Place has been marked pending in the local mls. Regular readers will remember that I am skeptical of sales until they are finalized at closing, but I think it’s fair to call Wexford Place “sold out” at this point.
Five of the eight units are sold in the mls, and three are pending. Two of the pending units were marked so in October of 2007, so it may be that someone forgot to mark them sold, they may have not wanted to make the sale prices readily available until the last unit sold, or they may have delayed closings. Here’s the breakdown by unit:
- 1744 Willis St – sold, 7/25/2007 for $305,591
- 1748 Willis St – sold, 8/6/2007 for $298,418
- 1752 Willis St – pending as of 10/23/07
- 1754 Willis St – sold, 7/26/2007 for $318,890
- 1758 Willis St – pending as of 10/23/07
- 1762 Willis St – pending as of 4/25/08
- 1766 Willis St – sold, 8/7/2007 for $293,064
- 1770 Willis St – sold, 8/6/2007 for $304,904
I always like to see the sales numbers. About what I expected. The other two units were sold….not sure why not properly in the mls….interesting speculations though.
After a few searches, I found a Tribune article naming the developer of Wexford Place as Riverstone Partners of Noblesville. They seem to be the same folks behind Dublin Village. Does anyone know if they are also behind Irish Crossings? The condos seem very, very similar to me.
Hi anon. Riverstone Partners was the developer of Dublin Village and Highline Construction was the builder in Dublin Village. Both companies then went in together to do The Wexford Place project. Then Highline Construction bought out the entire Irish Crossings project and started construction in April 2007 with an expected construction completion in the first half of 2009. My understanding was that Riverstone Partners and at least one other builder also had were interested in buying the Irish Crossings project, but Highline Construction bought the whole thing. Weiss Homes was the original builder (first building only) in Irish Crossings but they screwed the pouch on construction with a list of issues a “mile” long so they were dumped by the project owner. From what I have seen, Highline Construction is an excellent builder and from recent owners they are easy and honest to work with.
Also, the townhome floorplans of Dublin Village and The Wexford Place are very similar, but Irish Crossings floorplans are different offering basically 2 types, a fourplex and a triplex. Both are good, but the triplex is really great.
Isn’t Highline the company that Kite is teamed with to build the residential condo portion of the Eddy Street Commons?
