LOVE this area. We get up your way several times a year and love this stretch of the river walk. Love the condos as well. Those folks have got a very nice setup there – nice views, walkways and easy trip to downtown. Wonderful.

The bridge is beautiful and that is a fact! Recently my husband and I were cycling along the St. Joe river and came to Mishawaka. This was my first time seeing the bridge. I was amazed!I loved it at first sight! The whole area reminded me somewhat on Europe (where I come from) with the river walk, condos, park and the beautiful pedestrian bridge. It gave me a feeling of home!!!!

I would say the money should have been leveraged to build retail space for a grocery store in downtown Mishawaka. What good is a $3 million bridge if it has 5 people walk across it per day?

Boy, Nick, you sure get to deal with some picky readers out there. Sheesh.

I will vote art. I like it and I can’t think of anything in this area that looks similar.

I really hope the condos in that area does well. But I worry that the Pleasureland Museum is going to cause problems for the development on Mishawaka Avenue despite the great river views.

The photos with the blank spaces or black squares were stitched together from multiple pictures. The black squares are the spaces without an exposure.

I second that….art. I might have designed it a bit differently, but it is art. Will have to check it out next time back in town….and those new townhomes too. Need to get over there and check out the progress. I definitely think the Mishawaka project is more exciting than Eddy Street Commons…..good luck Mishawaka!

I think it’s definitely art. In person, especially, it’s a very cool bridge. The condos that overlook it have amazing views of the bridge, river, and Beutter Park. It’s too bad that the condos themselves are fairly non-descript looking from the outside. Looking at them from across the river, you’d think it was a factory rather than upscale expensive condos.
